About the image: 

There is something magical about being among hundreds and thousands of wild animals, all much larger than we are.  Here, herds are gathering in advance of migratory river crossings.  When they eventually cross they will not be in mixed groups like this.  But on the plains they can help each other identify predators, and they mingle freely.  The Wildebeest are occasionally very active even on an otherwise quiet morning, as they were in these scene.
